Miss Cayson-Roth's class entered a giveaway with Prodigy. Prodigy is a free educational website that works on developing Math and English skills. It is game based, but the questions are based on their level they placed in their placement test. The teacher can also assign specific skills for the kids! Not only did they win the giveaway they also recieved merchandise and the cards with codes in order to work on their skills at home. The recognition continues as well because they also were the winners of the Illinois grade levels competition: Every two weeks the game runs a “competition” between grade levels in the state. From September 15-September 29 our class answered the most questions!

We are experiencing some issues with our phone system at this time. We are working on it - however if you call district office, it will go directly to voicemail. At this time the buildings are still able to receive calls as they come in, so please call the building directly: 6-12 Campus: 815-537-5161 PES: 815-537-2345 TES: 815-438-2255

Dear Families, With the excessive heat today, we understand that some parents may prefer to pick up their children from school rather than have them ride the bus. If you plan to pick up your child, please notify the office of your child's school as soon as possible. Please also be aware that the reduced number of students riding the bus may lead to earlier drop-off times at home than usual. Please take note of the changes to athletic practices and rescheduling of golf and cross country meets. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Sincerely, Heidi Lensing, Superintendent
