Spring in Illinois is unpredictable—and while we’ve enjoyed some nice days, the forecast for Sunday night into Monday is a reminder that we are not yet out of “winter.” While we are currently planning on a regular attendance day on Monday, should the weather make a delay or cancellation necessary - we will communicate through the district website, Facebook, email, text, phone call, and local news channels.

Hello PLT Families,
This is a quick heads up that we may need to place some bus routes on self-transport tomorrow, Thursday, March 5. There is a lot of illness going around right now, and our bus drivers are doing their best to work through it and keep routes running as normal. We will do everything we can to avoid moving routes to self-transport; however, if we do not have enough drivers available tomorrow, we may have no other option for some routes.
If your child’s route does become self-transport, you will receive additional notification directly from the Transportation Department.
We are sending this message simply as a precaution so families can plan accordingly. Thank you for your understanding.
Sincerely,
Heidi Lensing
Superintendent

PES started out friendship week on Monday by giving each class colorful hearts. Each child was able to write what they thought being a "friend" meant or kind words. We talked about the meaning of friendship and how being comfortable making new friends was important . When the hearts were finished we placed them on the friendship tree on the front office window.

We had quite a few attendance winners this Month. This month students worked on spelling the word: GRATITUDE. This means that all the below classes had 100% attendance in their rooms for at least 9 days this month, but most had more. Good job on showing up everyday PES students: Mrs. Abell's AM Class, Mrs. Morse's Class, Mrs. DeCrane's Class, Miss Gorsegner's Class, and Mrs. Strock's Class.
