PES started out friendship week on Monday by giving each class colorful hearts. Each child was able to write what they thought being a "friend" meant or kind words. We talked about the meaning of friendship and how being comfortable making new friends was important . When the hearts were finished we placed them on the friendship tree on the front office window.

We had quite a few attendance winners this Month. This month students worked on spelling the word: GRATITUDE. This means that all the below classes had 100% attendance in their rooms for at least 9 days this month, but most had more. Good job on showing up everyday PES students: Mrs. Abell's AM Class, Mrs. Morse's Class, Mrs. DeCrane's Class, Miss Gorsegner's Class, and Mrs. Strock's Class.

Today we honor our November student's on the month:
PreK: Harlon Nuding
Kindergarten: Barrett Youell
1st Grade: Josie Chriest
2nd Grade: Ezra Garcia

Our Park District is putting on this amazing event for our students for the Holiday Season! Make sure to mark your calendar!

Yesterday, our PES students sang their loudest "thank you!" to all our amazing veterans! We appreciate the sacrifice our Veterans have made throughout the years for our freedoms.

This week, Mrs. DeCrane took 2nd grade outside to experience the magic of the Ginkgo Tree. An amazing detail about the Ginkgo Tree is that it loses all of its leaves in a day or less! It’s one of Mrs. DeCrane’s favorite science traditions. The kids were very happy to get to see it happen and experience it!

Get ready to join us for Family Reading Night on November 20th at PES!

We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring individual to come join our PES team! If you or someone you know is interested please apply via the below link!

Thank you to our PFS members for making our front entrance so inviting for the Fall season and Parent/Teacher Conferences!

At PES we are working on an attendance challenge each month that matches with our Characteristic of the month. Each class that has 100% attendance for a day recieves a letter that spells out the characteristic. For September was the word was RESPONSIBLE. We had 3 classes reach the goal of 100% attendance in their classroom for at least 11 days in the month of September! Congratulations to Mrs. Kubatzke's Class, Mrs. Barton's Class, and Mrs. DeCrane's Class! Each class recieved popsicles for their reward! Next month we will be working on RESPECTFUL!

Thank you to our HS cheerleaders for coming to the playground this morning! The students love when our High Schoolers come to visit! Good luck to the EP Panthers tonight against the Riverdale Rams!

Exciting things happening here at PES! We had our RESPONSIBILITY assembly on Wednesday! Our winners had a record 5 tubes filled! Congratulations to our 2nd grade for winning our RESPONSIBILITY challenge this month! All our grades worked hard on RESPONSIBILITY and are already half way to their goal of school wide incentive! Way to go PES!
