Due to the forecasted weather, there will be NO SCHOOL tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12 for the PLT School District. We will continue to monitor the weather in the event there is an impact to the start of school on Thursday.

For today's, February 10th, 6th Grade girls basketball game at PES; Please enter through the Playground gates and the gate closest to the portable. This is due to the book fair being located in the West Entrance hallway.

Reminder for Late Start:
(1) Arrival time for walkers will start at 9:40 AM at the back gate. Students will report to the gym when they get dropped off (just like when there is cold weather)
(2) First bell will be at 10:10 AM
(3) 4th and 5th grade drop off can start at 9:30 AM in the same location as always.
With the playground being so icy we are going to utilize the back entrance to get kids into the building. A REMINDER that that is where the busses park so please park in the Penberthy parking lot so that bus loading and unloading can happen. Thank you to our maintenance department, Miss Fetrow, and the city for making sure salt/sand is out so that the parking lot, sidewalks, and road are safer for our students and families to walk across. Below you will see a picture of the entrance we are utilizing.
Be safe everyone!

The PES field trip to the hockey game is cancelled due to the road conditions.
AM PreK is cancelled and PM PreK will run as normal. Please do not send PM Prek students to school at 8:15AM.

A big thank you to Box Out Bullying for visiting PES and teaching our students valuable ways to stand up against bullying! The theatrical performance was perfect for our K-3 kiddos and provided them with fun, age-appropriate skills to recognize, report, and respond to bullying. It truly highlighted the importance of empathy, which is our characteristic for March. Together, we can help create a kinder and more supportive school community for everyone!
THANK YOU to the Ed. Foundation as well for sponsoring this event for PES students and staff!

Congratulations to Charlotte Morales and Mrs. Barton for being our student and staff member of the month for December! They were chosen by their peers and co-workers for showing honesty throughou the whole month!

We are so excited to be back! Welcome Back everyone to the Second Semester!

Today our students learned what their prize will be for December if they reach their Citizen Characteristics goals! This fall the students have been working towards positive citizenship characteristics: Honesty, Respectful, Gratitude, and Cooperative. We had a special visitor, Radar, to help us announce that if students reach their goal by December 20th they will be attending a Quad City Storm Hockey Game! To say the excitement was electric would be an understatement! Students have until December 20th to reach their honesty goal!

Holiday Program was a success! Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this possible for our students! The students and Mr. Barrette put on a fabulous show!
