Prophetstown-Lyndon-Tampico CUSD #3 Families,
It is with deep sadness that I share the loss of one of our students as a result of the tragic accident that occurred today. This is an unimaginable loss, and our hearts go out to the family and all who are grieving.
As a district, we are committed to supporting our students and staff during this incredibly difficult time. We will have counselors, social workers, and area ministers present tomorrow (May 1) at the 6–12 campus to provide comfort, guidance, and a space for students to process this tragedy.
Please take time to talk with your child, as students may respond in a variety of ways and may need additional support in the coming days.
The district will not be releasing the student’s name at this time.
Please keep the student’s loved ones and our school community in your thoughts and prayers.
Heidi Lensing, Superintendent

Prophetstown-Lyndon-Tampico CUSD #3 Community,

Good morning, families!
It was not an easy decision, but we are sliding tonight's performance to Sunday at 3:00. There is NO CHANGE TO SATURDAY's. This decision was made in light of the possible danger as families travel back home from the performance.
We hope to see you at Saturday's and/or Sunday's performances!

Good afternoon, families!
We are really looking forward to a wonderful performance on Friday and Saturday with the 4th and 5th graders in Channeling Grimm! We are also aware of some potential severe weather Friday evening, so I write to you with our Plan B.
First, right now we are keeping things exactly as originally scheduled. In other words, NO CHANGES are being made.
IF we have to change things, I will post notice here, on the website, via TeacherEase email, and on Facebook by noon tomorrow, Friday. What that change would be is moving Friday's performance to Sunday at 3:00. Saturday's would not change. Again, this is IF we need to change. We are NOT CHANGING at this time.
You will see the message at noon tomorrow no matter if the decision is to change or not change.
Have a wonderful night!

Due to the forecasted weather, there will be NO SCHOOL tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12 for the PLT School District. We will continue to monitor the weather in the event there is an impact to the start of school on Thursday.

The PES field trip to the hockey game is cancelled due to the road conditions.
AM PreK is cancelled and PM PreK will run as normal. Please do not send PM Prek students to school at 8:15AM.

Due to the icy conditions this morning, the PLT school district will have a 2-hour delayed start this morning. No AM PreK.

Due to the forecasted low temperatures, the PLT school district will have a two hour late start tomorrow, Tuesday, January 21st. No morning PreK.

Tonight's TEA Meeting has been postponed to next Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 6:00.

Reminder - No School on Tuesday, November 5th for Election Day!

Dear Families,
With the excessive heat today, we understand that some parents may prefer to pick up their children from school rather than have them ride the bus. If you plan to pick up your child, please notify the office of your child's school as soon as possible.
Please also be aware that the reduced number of students riding the bus may lead to earlier drop-off times at home than usual.
Please take note of the changes to athletic practices and rescheduling of golf and cross country meets.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Sincerely,
Heidi Lensing, Superintendent

Here are the 2024-25 PLT Shuttle Bus times. Contact the Transportation Department at 815-537-5161 ext 1030 if you have any questions.
