Prophetstown-Lyndon-Tampico CUSD #3 Families, It is with deep sadness that I share the loss of one of our students as a result of the tragic accident that occurred today. This is an unimaginable loss, and our hearts go out to the family and all who are grieving. As a district, we are committed to supporting our students and staff during this incredibly difficult time. We will have counselors, social workers, and area ministers present tomorrow (May 1) at the 6–12 campus to provide comfort, guidance, and a space for students to process this tragedy. Please take time to talk with your child, as students may respond in a variety of ways and may need additional support in the coming days. The district will not be releasing the student’s name at this time. Please keep the student’s loved ones and our school community in your thoughts and prayers. Heidi Lensing, Superintendent

Dear Families, With the excessive heat today, we understand that some parents may prefer to pick up their children from school rather than have them ride the bus. If you plan to pick up your child, please notify the office of your child's school as soon as possible. Please also be aware that the reduced number of students riding the bus may lead to earlier drop-off times at home than usual. Please take note of the changes to athletic practices and rescheduling of golf and cross country meets. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Sincerely, Heidi Lensing, Superintendent
