Kevin Parker, Prophetstown High School Principal,
was born in Moline, Illinois.  He attended and graduated high school from J.D. Darnall (Geneseo High School) in 1990.  Mr. Parker obtained his B.S. degree in Education from Western Illinois University in 1996.  He then obtained a Master’s of Education degree (Curriculum and Teaching Methods) from Olivet Nazarene University in 2006.  Next, Mr. Parker obtained a Master’s of Educational Leadership from Western Illinois University in 2011.

Mr. Parker began his professional career at United Township High School in 1996.  He had many different duties there, in which he served as a substitute teacher, summer school teacher, special education paraprofessional, Title I Tutor, and softball coach.  He left United Township in 2001.
Mr. Parker moved on to Orion High School as a social studies teacher from 2002 until leaving last spring.  His duties at Orion High School included Athletic Director and Dean of Students.  Mr. Parker served as an assistant, then volunteer wrestling coach (1997-2010).  He was also an assistant football coach for 14 seasons (1997-2011).

Mr. Parker currently lives in Geneseo, IL with Christy, his wife of 15 years, daughters Melanie, 12,
and Kelly, 10, and his son Brock, 8.
