Day 1

1. Start page in Inspiration for taking notes.
2. Create bubbles for Home, School, and Community and discuss using keywords when inserting information.

Day 2

1. At their computers, open their Inspiration diagram and go http://www2.lhric.org/pocantico/earthday/earthday.htm
2. Read their book and put any relevant information in their Inspiration diagram.
3. Do the Earth Day quiz. Print out and do it on paper or using a projector, do it together.
4. Read “If we could heal the planet earth,.....”
5. Explore the rest of the links.

Day 3

1. Click on http://www.epatrol.org/ep-quiz.html

2. Take E-Patrol quiz.

3. Add any relevant information to Inspiration diagram.

4. Go to http://www.dinopals.com/dino-e/index.htm and add facts to diagram.

Day 4 & 5

1. Click on http://www.epa.gov/recyclecity/mainmap.htm and explore Recycle City.
2. Put any relevant information in their diagram.

Day 6

1. Go to http://holidays.kaboose.com/earthday-cando.html
2. Read An Earth Day Story: What Can I Do? Read aloud leaving out words for the class to fill in.
3. Discuss comprehension questions together. Open the Inspiration diagram and choose one item from each category that one could do. Change to an “I will” statement. Change the text color to red for the three items that are chosen. (Effect/Text Color)

Day 7 -12

1. Together, start Title slide for PowerPoint project.
2. Use outline view to make Titles of all the Pages (At Home, At School, In My Community)
3. Open Inspiration and choose one bubble from each category.(Home, School, Community)
4. Design PowerPoint project with a title slide and one slide from each category. (Home, School, Community)
